End of Argument (Clow/Yuuko)

Title: End of Argument
Length: 168 words
Prompt: [livejournal.com profile] 6_cocktails: 1. frosty amour
Pairing: Clow/Yuuko
Other: CCS references
Excerpt: So she was prickly today, because she'd woken with a strange name on her lips, and he hadn't bothered to express his surprise at her words.

The problem was, Clow thought, that Yuuko learned too fast. Most people who spent time with him would begin to see the future from the corners of their eyes, quite without trying, but Yuuko had managed to turn her head and see fully.

She wasn't quite as good at it as he was, which was probably a blessing, because Clow figured she'd be pretty sad without the occasional surprise in her life. Clow saw enough to manipulate, but Yuuko only saw enough to know. There was no opportunity to change.

So she was prickly today, because she'd woken with a strange name on her lips, and he hadn't bothered to express his surprise at her words.

"Eriol," she muttered again, looking even more closely at him before gathering herself together and storming out of the bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

Clow sighed, looked, and went back to sleep. The upcoming argument would be one neither of them would win, so he might as well get some rest.
