Yuuko was in no history books, no genealogies, no phone books. The shop was little more than smoke and mirrors, her companions inhuman.
None of them could leave.
Maru and Moro couldn't leave by design, but she couldn't either. She was bound to the place. She may have been able to leave the premises, but she was tied there. She would always return, always, until the day she gave up her breath.
Dying wouldn't be so bad: a life ending that the world had rarely noticed. At least, Yuuko thought, it would be something different.
