Nakuru thinks Haruka is cool. Haruka thinks Nakuru is annoying.

This is the total sum of their relationship for the brief period of Haruka's stay in England, until the very last day, when Nakuru brushes past the rest of Haruka's well-wishers with an unusual expression on her face. Haruka studies her curiously and it's then she realizes that Nakuru is serious.

"Be careful with your princess," Nakuru says, clasping Haruka's hands in hers for just a moment, her face taut with worry. Haruka is nearly sure she's imagined it, because the next second Nakuru grins that absent grin of hers and says, "I think the boy's uniform would suit you best!"

"Excuse me?" Haruka says, still trying to figure out what Nakuru meant about the princess.

"In Japan, you'd look lovely in the boy's uniform. You could pull it off," she says confidently.

"Nakuru," Mary cuts in, glancing at Haruka, whom no one has teased for her boyish hair and attitude, because it seems like a really terrible idea. "That isn't very nice to say... Just because, er..."

"I'll think about it," Haruka says, thinking about the creased pants that already await her, wondering again what exactly Nakuru knows. All of this time, the other girl has been vapid and irritating, and now she shows...

...Something different.

"Maybe I'll see you when I got to Japan too," Nakuru says, ignoring Mary, and then she skips away without another word, just a wave. Haruka waves back.

She hopes that the princess is pretty.
