Why am I being rudely redirected?The answer is simple. I managed to post the same story on my fic journal twice! Rather than rudely removing the entry, leaving you with no idea how to find the fic in question, I chose to leave a link to whichever version of the story I consider "official." If you find dual entries, please let me know! I'm trying to take care of them when I see them, but sometimes they slip by.
What's the best way to search this journal?Your best bet is probably tags. All posts are tagged by length, series, pairing (or with the tag "gen"), community I wrote it for, and generally one or more characters that feature in the fic. If you want to find a specific fic quickly, I suggest choosing the most specific tag you can (for example, pairing: eriol/syaoran instead of character: syaoran). Searching by pairing: eriol/sakura, pairing: tomoyo/sakura, pairing: clow/yuuko, or pairing: syaoran/sakura is not recommended, as these are my most prolific pairings. Instead, try searching for the community I wrote it for, if you know.
Why do you write X/Y instead of X/Z? You wrote it before! Well, I'm flattered that you ask, but I don't really care that you like X/Z better than X/Y. I write for my own amusement, whether it's something sweet and fluffy like
Syaoran/Sakura or something cracky like
Nakuru/Yuuko. But just so you know, if you comment on everything with "cute but I'd rather see X/Z" then I'll probably ignore you for the rest of time.
What's your friending policy? ...Well, it's a bit odd. You can friend me all you like and I'll be terribly flattered. But I feel obligated to warn you that there are days when I'll spam this fic journal with several stories in a row, no mercy. You might prefer to track one specific tag, if you like a certain pairing I write rarely, or you might filter me off your friends-list most of the time. I don't really keep track of who friends me, so I won't mind what you do. Everything I post is public.
What abbreviations do you use?I try not to abbreviate much, but tags can only reach a certain length, so I get creative. Here's a partial list of ones I use currently.
