Excerpt: In some sideways world there was a Sakura without a Syaoran, a Sakura with only a Tomoyo, and this Tomoyo seemed to know that somehow.
Syaoran and Tomoyo were close friends, but at heart they would always be rivals. In some sideways world there was a Sakura without a Syaoran, a Sakura with only a Tomoyo, and this Tomoyo seemed to know that somehow.
She was Sakura's first consultant on matters of the heart, though this Syaoran would always have that heart. Tomoyo was not bitter, even with her true love snatched from under her nose, and she always gave good advice, but stilll...
Tomoyo gave her away, as surely as Fujitaka would on some future day, and neither Syaoran nor Tomoyo would ever forget that.
The most important thing was Sakura; this was a fact on which they could always agree.
