Excerpt: She knew it was wrong to stare, but she couldn't resist watching her friend crane her graceful neck and then flutter over to the couch, bending over to look behind.

"Tomoyo-chan, have you seen my new dress?" Sakura asked, peering around the doorway into the living room, where Tomoyo was waiting. Sakura was wearing something filmy and pink that accentuated her cleavage, a soft slip that showed more than it concealed.

"No, I haven't seen it," Tomoyo said, "though you might want to check behind the couch. Didn't you leave it by the couch earlier?"

She knew it was wrong to watch, but she couldn't resist looking as her friend craned her graceful neck and then flutter over to the couch, bending over to look behind. There was a hint of cleavage, a softness of thigh, that Tomoyo couldn't help but treasure. She coughed to cover her glazed look.

"No luck," Sakura said, pouting and returning to the bedroom they shared. She emerged a moment later wearing the dress and pulling on a pair of black kitten heels.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with us, Tomoyo-chan? I'm sure Syaoran wouldn't mind," she said, running her hand absently through her hair.

"Have a good time," Tomoyo said firmly, opening the door when Syaoran knocked. He was right on time, of course, and on the dot of six he swept his girlfriend out of the apartment she rented with Tomoyo and off to a fabulous evening.

Tomoyo sat down for an L Word marathon and a bag of popcorn, sighing with contentment.
