Sakura knows he is keeping something from her; she can see it in the glances he doesn't give her, carefully, when she remembers something from her past. She can see it in the fine lines creased by his eyes and his soft care for her.

She can see that he loves her, and in what way she isn't entirely sure, but that he does, and that she should be able to remember him, if he was in her life but--

Thinking like that makes her head hurt really badly, the kind of hurt that means she's going to pass out, so she tries not to think about it. Syaoran gets upset when she passes out. Even if she can't remember him, she cares for him now and doesn't want him to hurt.

Sakura never thinks of herself as special, and she can't quite figure out why Syaoran and Fai and Kurogane are working so hard to help her. She remembers being a princess, yes, a title she throws away as useless to search her memories for the scraps of her brother, her father, and Yukito. But she's never thought of herself as anything more than ordinary.

No one tells her that's her charm, her adorable determination to do her best, no matter what. She would just giggle and keep on. And even if she worries sometimes about Syaoran, and the thing he keeps from her, she won't stop smiling.

Even though she can't fix anything, she knows that her smile lights up his world, and everything he does is enough for her.
