Excerpt: "You don't have to be perfect for me," he said, and she tucked her head under his chin.

"I know you're not perfect," Eriol said. Tomoyo laughed.

"Thank God," she said, running a finger lazily down his forearm. "Though most people compliment their wives after sex, not insult them."

"You hate compliments," he said, grabbing her fingertips and running them along his jawline.

"I hate it when people say I'm perfect. Don't you?"

"Makes you feel unreal, and guilty for not living up to expectations," he said, resting her hand now on his chest. She cuddled closer to him.

"Yes, that's it exactly," she said, sighing. She kissed his shoulder.

"I know you're not perfect, but I like you this way," he said, pressing his own lips to her forehead. He turned on his side to face her, and rested the fingertips of one hand on the small of her back, a feather-touch, just enough to make her shiver a little.

"You don't have to be perfect for me," he said, and she tucked her head under his chin. They fell asleep slowly, both trying not to think of the people they hadn't been perfect enough for. It was getting easier, as the years passed. They began to fit together better and better, finishing each other's sentences, holding each other's hands.

The only time Tomoyo and Eriol didn't mind being called perfect was the time Sakura said, "You two are the perfect couple!"

That time, the accusation made them smile.
